The answer the author of the question is looking for is, "full moon." That happens when the moon is not in the shadow cast by the Earth. The question should read, "reflects sunlight."

The full cycle is 29 1/2 days; so new moon should be about 15 days after full moon. The exact number of days varies, because the Moon's orbit is not exactly circular. basically it will be 5-27-10

The definition of when Easter should fall says on the first Sunday on or after the first full moon after Spring Equinox and full moon is on the 17th so why isn't Easter 2011 on April 17?

I found my mistake. It's not on or after the first full moon, it's the Sunday following the full Moon which falls on or after the Spring equinox.
