Marat would mess up the brain of the best FBI profiler and all would insist that they lack adequate data to identify his character. He may have been a badly misguided Charlatan. His claims to be a Medical Doctor lack adequate credentials and any claim as a philosopher have failed to meet the test of time. He was a politician and a publisher. He also was a convicted thief. His claims as a scientist and inventor lack credibility and standing. He accused Lavoisier of selling watered down tobacco and that resulted in the execution of a brilliant scientist. On that count alone he should be considered a man without morals and of devious character.

He was brilliant, egocentric individual who never measured up. He was motivated by a need for recognition.
