My biome is the desert biome. The desert biome is usually dry and extremely hot. Precipitation in the desert is scarce but there are some rainstorms, when it does rain it usually evaporates right when it hits the ground. Sometimes there are major rainstorms that can flood the desert, but then after that there can be no rain for weeks or even months. The temperature there is always extreme; it can usually reach up to 100+ degrees there. The reason for this is because there are no clouds to block the sun out. Deserts can expand for miles and miles on end, also one important fact about deserts is that it covers one fifth (20%) of the earth.
Plant life in the desert is usually never seen but there is still some plant life. Plant life here includes the Barrel Cactus, Brittle Bush, Chain Fruit Cholla, Creosote Bush, and the Crimson Hedgehog Cactus. The barrel cactus is a beautiful cactus not only because of its shape (circle) but because of the beautiful flower that's sprouts at the top of it. The Brittle Bush is a common plant that can be seen in the desert. Uses for this plant are that you can make toothpaste out of the residue that is inside of its stem. The Chain Fruit Cholla is a cactus that looks more like a tree than a cactus. It also grows pear shaped fruits that can grow for years off of the cactus. The Creosote Bush is named this because it smell a lot like the creosote tar that is used on telephone poles. The bushes leaves can be used for antiseptics. Then last but not least is the Crimson Hedgehog Cactus. It is called the Crimson Hedgehog cactus because there is a big Crimson flower at the top of it.
There a ton animal life in the desert. Some examples of these animals are Caracal, Black tail Jackrabbit, Fennec Fox, Kangaroo Rat, and the Meerkat. The Caracal, which looks like a Lynx, eats birds and rodents. It can usually weigh up to 20-40 pounds. The Black tailed Jackrabbit eats cacti, sagebrush, grasses, and clover. The Fennec Fox usually eats birds and bird eggs. During the day they usually burrow underground when it's the hottest. The Kangaroo Rat usually eats seeds and leaves. They are approximately 1.25-6.25 oz. then last but not least there is the cute Meerkat. The Meerkat usually feeds on insects and lizards. There homes are burrows that can go on for a long time.
Animals adapt to the desert in many different ways. Some examples of these adaptations include burrowing. Many animals burrow underground during the day to keep cool. At night is when these animals hunt for there food. Some also dig burrows to reach the water tables underground. Some reptiles have special adaptations that can trigger moisture to there mouth when they are parched.
Three interesting facts about the desert are that the desert is not always hot. It can drop as low as 18 degrees Fahrenheit. Also most deserts are covered in jagged rocks not sand. Most desert go without twelve months of rain.

To see the cacti and the land. After a good rain, there are lots of flowers. There are interesting animals there too.
You would visit the desert to see different animals then you might be used to. You also might be able to see endangered plants. If you do visit a desert, always remember to bring water!
I live in the Chihuahuan Desert and love it. Yes, it can get quite hot in the summer but we have learned to deal with the heat. Winters are usually quite mild. When other areas of the country are experiencing bitter cold and deep snow, it is not unusual for us to have temperatures between 60 and 70 degrees F and clear sunny days.
All plants and animals that are natural to the desert are good. Man, or at least some men, are bad. They destroy the desert with ATVs and dirt bikes, they dump trash and waste oil in the desert. They wantonly kill animals and destroy plants simply to 'have fun.'
There are health benefits for living near a desert. It can reduce migraine frequency, as well as Asthma symptoms. It is also sunny, which tends to make people happier and it is relaxing.
sometimes deserts flood leaving silt for fertile land like an oasis
good- provides homes to the animals that need to live in that kind of environment
bad- dry, arid, hot, can't grow much
If you like warm temperatures that could be considered beneficial or "good".
How rainforest live for a while and the animals/
There are very few days when the sun does not shine. Severe weather, such as tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards are almost unheard of in the desert.
Malo was an American Latin-tinged rock and roll group. It is not a desert. The Spanish word 'malo' means 'bad' in English.
some are good some are bad but usually bad
yes
his good and bad! His a tazmainian devil and his a pet
The perfect desert animal is one that can either put in good use of the heat of the desert or has big ears to shade itself. It also can save as much moisture as it can in its body. Good hunting skills, speed are all things that are necessary for the desert.
bad
well it is warm in the desert so warmth. too much warmth is bad and in a desert it is most likely to be hot so yeah. in a desert very little water.dry. theres creatures wch mean good and bad.
Im sure its because then you wont get thirsty and die, but the bad thing is... the desert will be mud if it rains or something.
The Desert
No, the noun 'desert' is a commonnoun, a general word for a dry, barren area of land.A proper noun is the name of a specific person, place, or thing; for example, the Sonoran Desert, the Sahara Desert, or the Gobi Desert.
It will live for at least as long as you let it live for. If you take really good care of your desert iguana, it will live for up to 15 to 20 years old. If you take bad care for your desert iguana it will live for a shorter time.
Both the ecosystems have extreme temperatures. The tundra is extremely cold amd the desert is extremely hot.
Literally: it is a small pool of, usually clear water Metaphorically: Something that is very good surrounded by a bunch of bad things!
