The Flood: Who Will Save Our Children
"All Summer in a Day" (1982). This is based on a Ray Bradbury story.
Biblically, there were none but Noah and his family worthy of being saved. However, most historians agree that the flood story is derived from a similar Sumarian flood story known as the Epic of Gilgamesh.

I was in Houston, Texas in July/August 1987 when there were heavy flash floods after thunderstorms in the area. I remember watching the news item on television about the flash flood on the Guadeloupe River. There are lots of popular summer camps in the area in question, often run by Christian organisations, and many children attend these camps during the summer months. A driver attempted to drive his bus, filled with children, across a partly submereged bridge over the River Guadeloupe, which was in full flood. The bus was swept away half way across. The story was big news in the Houston/San Antonio area at the time. Anne West
The story of the Great Flood in Genesis is closely related to the Epic of Gilgamesh. Both stories involve a catastrophic flood, a righteous individual chosen to survive, and the building of a boat to escape the flood. These similarities suggest a potential shared cultural heritage between the ancient Mesopotamian and Hebrew civilizations.
Certainly the story of Noah's Flood is remarkably similar to the Flood story of Umapishtim in the much older Sumerian Epic of Gilgamesh. On that evidence, the Epic of Gilgamesh is the most likely source for the story of Noah's Flood.
An assembly of gods started the flood in the Gilgamesh flood epic.
None. No evidence at all. The flood story is just that, a story.

Abraham lived after the flood, according to the Bible. The flood story is associated with Noah, who was a few generations before Abraham.
In the Gilgamesh flood story, it rained for six days and six nights continuously. This extreme rainfall was a crucial element in the flood that engulfed the world.
YESSSSSS Utnapishtim is a hero in the story of the flood if that is what you're asking...!!:)
The duration of A Summer Story is 1.58 hours.
The Flood is described in Genesis 6-10.
