I was stationed there with the 5th Aircraft Maintenance Unit from July 2004 to March 2007, so I can say that I made it through 3 of the most brutal winters you will experience in the United States. I recall the lowest temperature that I experienced was -46 degrees (not including the windchill) back in February of 2006 if my memory serves me right. It gets REALLY cold, but you get through it and you are more durable after having been through it!
