• The movie 'Uninvited' was the story of a girl who had been in a Mental Institution from a breakdown when the cottage off from the house where her sick mother resided exploded. She blamed herself. When she was released and returned home her father was remarried and this young girl and her sister hated her. The story revolves around the two sisters suspecting their stepmother of killing their biological mother. Both girls are determined to prove their stepmother gave their mother an over-dose of insulin and then set a gasoline explosion in the cottage that caused the mother's death. Near the end of the story it became apparent that this girl from the Mental Institution had fabricated her sister because her sister had been killed in the same gasoline explosion their mother had been killed in. The dead sister appeared as the alter ego for the psychologically ill young woman. In the end it appeared in the movie that the sister killed the step-mother, but, in reality the girl from the Mental Institution had killed her own mother, sister and the step-mother. Her father came home to see her covered in blood and it was at this point the two sisters (in this mentally ill girl's mind) stood before him (covered in blood) as he waited for an explanation and then he said 'Your sister is dead ... she died in the explosion.' The young girl looked down to where she was holding her sisters hand and of course there was no one there. In the end the young woman was put back into the Mental Institution.
