Rudolph's father is the 7th famous reindeer that soars the globe with Santa, Donner. Rudolph's mother is not one of Santa's famous 8 reindeer. Her name, in the 1998 movie, is Mitzi. She has also been referred to as Mrs. Donner, (in the 1964 TV special.)

In the movie and book Flicka is determined to be a wild Mustang. However, the actual horse used in the movie is an Arabian.
There are many different Arabian horses in the Hidalgo movie, but the one that is most mention is the stallion, Al Hattal.

im pretty sure the black stallion was a mixed breed that was part arab well this answer was only partly correct. the black stallion's dam was a pure arabin his sire was The Dark Horse (the dark horse nebula) born of sky and stars :) hope this helps :) in the book he was probably a Thoroughbred X Arabian in the movie he was an Arabian

The Rudolph book titled "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" was written by Robert L. May and published in 1939. The Rudolph movie, an animated special based on the book, was produced by Rankin/Bass and first aired on television in 1964.
