There was no one person that made the Titanic sink. It was a combination of out of date sea rules (such as not having enough life boats for everybody on board), a ship President that wanted glory making the ship go too fast, a pissed off wireless operator on another ship that could have helped the Titanic and many other things that helped the ship to sink
I would just like to add to that by saying that the reason the Titanic actually sunk was because it hit an iceberg, which pierced the hull, allowing water in, which sunk the boat. The fact that there weren't enough lifeboats had nothing to do with the Titanic sinking, that was merely the reason so many people died.
