During the 1800s it was every different then how we life now. The children had to get up at 5am to do chores. Most children went to school barefoot and in the some clothing that they wear the day before, because they only had 1 to 2 out-fits. Ont out-fit was to wear at school and the other one was to wear at church. They had to wear them for 3 weeks. Most boys only went to school for 4 months, because they had to help there fathers in the fields. Some chores for boys were they had to fetching water or chopping wood. Some chores for the girls were churn butter or grind corn. The parents slept on the bed downstairs and the children had to sleep on the left on the floor.
