Hebe is the goddess of youth, and think of this if you think her nature lacking: to all the Greek gods and goddesses of Olympus does Hebe give youth - she can give this to mortal too, and presumably take it away. It is not that the cup she poured forth gave this gift of youth, but her own power. It was unheard of to insult Hebe, the daughter of Hera and Zeus, Queen and King of Olympus, and wife of Hercules, mother of his sons Alexiares and Anicetus.

The only weapons that the Greek goddess Rhea may have had were her personality and two protective lions. She married her brother, Cronus. Unfortunately, her husband had been warned that he would be overthrown by his own children. So he proceeded to swallow the first five alive. Rhea didn't know what to do until her parents advised her to substitute the sixth child with a stone wrapped in swaddling clothes. The five children were retrieved alive. One of the five, the sea god Poseidon, became the great great great great great grandfather of Antigone.
