there were no similariites, grant was book smart, he knew what to do and he knew good war tactics but when it came to battle he was afraid and wasn't smart when it came to the battlefield. in conrtast to lee who was one of the best generals iin the world. he was battle smart as well as book smart. hewas what some say wild, he had what it took to win. but some say his plans were outlandish that's why he made mistakes because people were afraid his plans were to risky, espaecaily for the already poor,not to mention the lack of people and materials.
