There were many strikes from the working poor against apalling working conditions. In 1917, Sweden became more democratic which was criticized by the more communist of the two political parties at the time. (The Revolutionary Socialists). By 1921, women had voting rights. There was additionally a shooting against protesters called the Adalen shootings. Around the early/mid 1900's, World War 11 started.
