First class on the Titanic was extremely luxurious and only for the very rich. The state rooms were made to look like expensive English hotels, and everything was top quality. They wanted only the best for their first class passengers.
Second class was less luxurious than first, but it was still as nice as first class on any other ocean liner at the time.
Third class was the best anyone had ever seen. It was just as good as second class on other ships. It wasn't as nice as first or second, and there were things that third class passengers couldn't use (like the exercise room), but they were all very happy with what they had.
There were extreme differences between the officers and the "black gang". The officers, on the upper decks, wore white and gave orders. The stokers/firemen/trimmers, below decks, shoveled hot coal.
First Class - the richest and often famous.
Second Class - much like the middle class of today; Not wealthy, but still well-off.
Third Class - Mostly immigrants and mostly poor.
Some crew members were like police officers known as the master-at-arms, some were stewards, some were chefs, some were waiters, and more
First class was for the wealthy and elite people, some were even royalty such as countesses. Second class was for businesspeople. Third class was for the "poor people"
