What will happen to Elena in season 4 of the vampire diaries?

She joins Caroline on the 'Miss Mystic Falls' float along with Stefan and Matt. Stefan also tells her that John Gilbert is her real father and she tries to patch things up with Jeremy, who gives her the cold shoulder.

Elena's kidnapper brings her, unconscious, to a vacant lot off the highway, where she is transported to the backseat of an unnamed vampire's SUV. Jeremy realizes Elena didn't come home last night and tells Stefan. Elena is taken to a large, abandoned house by her captor; a vampire named Trevor. Another vampire named Rose appears, requesting that Elena remain quiet. At school, Tyler deals with the aftermath of Sara's death. He attempts to get Caroline to tell him what she knows about his abilities, and she eventually reveals that she is a vampire, but doesn't tell him about Stefan and Damon and swears him to secrecy. Elena overhears Rose and Trevor, who seem to be arguing about a vampire named Elijah, and whether or not to go through with a plan. Using Jeremy's blood, Bonnie finds Elena's location with a spell. Stefan and Damon set off to find her, 300 miles away. At the house, Elena tries to get information out of Rose, who tells her that Elijah is one of the 'Originals', and that they are using Elena, a Petrova doppelganger and the key to breaking the curse, as a bargaining position. Trevor reveals that he is the one who helped Katherine escape her fate, and he and Rose have been running from the Originals ever since. Elijah arrives, and Rose offers him Elena in exchange for their pardon. Elijah agrees, but decides to kill Trevor. Elena tries to stall Elijah, telling him that she knows where the Moonstone is, but he rips off her vervain necklace and compels her to tell him its and Katherine's location. Stefan and Damon arrive, fight with Elijah and stake him. Rose finds Stefan and tells him that the Originals will come for Elena, and that they are doing it for Klaus. Elena returns home and is reunited with Bonnie and Jeremy. Later, Damon arrives in her room with her vervain necklace. Before he gives it back, he tells Elena he loves her, but he doesn't deserve her and can't be selfish about her. He then compels Elena to forget what he has said, and leaves. Back in the abandoned house, Elijah slowly pulls the wooden stake out, and it drops to the ground, revealing that a stake cannot kill him.

Matt and Caroline are in the Lockwood cellar while Tyler - in wolf form - attacks them, and they hide. Meanwhile, Greta the witch feeds Jenna her blood, completing her transformation into a vampire. It is revealed that Elijah is seeking revenge on Klaus for killing his family and burying their bodies at sea. Klaus begins the ritual and kills Jules, the werewolf. Although Stefan offers to switch places with Jenna, Klaus refuses and kills Jenna. Bonnie performs a spell that can bring someone back to life, which connects John and Elena. At the ritual grounds, Klaus drains Elena's blood and begins to transform. However, Bonnie uses her powers to weaken him, while Damon kills Greta. Before Elijah can rip out his heart, Klaus says he didn't bury the bodies at sea and if he is killed, Elijah will never find them. Elijah listens to him and flees with Klaus. When Elena comes back to life, John dies. At the funeral, Damon reveals to Stefan that he was bitten by Tyler and asks him to not tell Elena.

the man she hit is obviously a vampire cuz it got up and healed. then it started walking towards her then ran away then Damon found her helped her out and brought her on a trip to Georgia

As I guess about the end of The Vampire Diaries, I think Elena is going to love dear Damon even more than Stephan. She may be a vampire in future. MAYBE!!!
