There would have been mass rioting, looting and wholesale destruction of property - and a lot more killings too ! If it had 'all gone pear-shaped' there would likely have been a mass 'extinction' of the white minority. Just goes to show that the native Africans had more sense, and more respect for other people - regardless of race, creed or colour - than to take revenge !
