If your dog is shivering then it is either cold, scared or excited. Some dogs shake when they get over-excited so that is nothing to worry about. However, if your dog is shaking uncontrollably or having convulsions, it could have eaten poison or another toxic substance - take it to a vet immeadiately in this situation. Staffies are known for their courage so it is unlikely that your dog is scared. If your dog is cold, provide extra blankets and keep it inside!

Often if a cat is cold and has short fur, it tends to shiver or shake. Because they are mammals, they have warm blood so they aren't used to the cold. Just like the human body, we get cold, which causes goose-bumps (little bumps that form on the skin when cold) There ARE other reasons that could cause it such as flu, too many fleas (which makes the cat try to shake it out) and all other possibilities. Thanks :)
