The first films were short and silent, they were made in the early 1890's bythe worlds first movie studio - Black Maria, some of it's most well known first films were, Buffalo Bills shooting skill, Sioux Ghost Dance and The Sneeze. Hope this helps. (;

One of the first movies to appear on TV was Talk Faster, Mister, which was aired on December 18, 1944. An earlier instance of TV film which was not considered as such at the time was the 1957 The Pied Piper of Hamelin, starring Van Johnson.
