Spike makes several returns.
He leaves at the end of season 2 only to return briefly for revenge in episode 8 (Lover's Walk) in season 3. After that he doesn't return until Season 4, episode 3 (Harsh day of light). After this he's a permanent fixture until the last episode (Chosen).

From that point on, Spike TV has been fully re-branded, and will NOT be coming back anytime soon. But we will never forget the moments Spike TV shared with us; the fans.
