The Ninth season of NCIS began on September 20th 2011. The episode name was "Nature of the Beast". A total of 24 episodes are planned in Season 9. As of February 2012, only 14 episodes have aired. The season finale is expected in May of 2012. Every year the season finale is during May and this year too, that will be the case.
