Under the rules of Hammurabi's successors, the Babylonian Empire was weakened by military pressure from the Hittites, who sacked Babylon around 1531 BC that means he was not conqered in his time but his sucesor were. Hammurabi died out of natural causes. He was sickly towards the end of his reign. In died when he was 45 years old in 1750 BC. He was a king in Babylon.
