Robert Welch, the founder of the JBS, met 11 people at the home of Marguerite Dice in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 8-9, 1958 to give them his assessment of the progress of the "communist conspiracy". The transcript of his two-day speech is available in printed form as the "JBS Blue Book". As a result of that meeting, the JBS was formed. The first JBS chapters were organized in February 1959.
