As of yet there are no plans to create a season 3 of Baki the Grappler. The last episode was 49.
In december of 2013
***garbage there's no episode 49 it ends at 48 even on kumby it says that ep. 48 is the final ep. and that the series is finished*** Incorrect, episode "49" is actually Grappler, Baki "the movie" which aired in 1998. 3 years before the series ~no you're an idiot, that movie was in the series if you didn't notice it was the exact same fight with Shinogi, it just includes him fighting against the karate guys, which Sueno acknowledges when he says around episode 40 "he was the exact same way before I fought him" referring to his eating habits before a big fight. But all in all there is no episode 49, read the manga Hmm which movie are you referring to the one where he has black hair (was cheeper) right? which is not in the series. Although the series does have an episode that goes over the what happens in the movie. Also it is often referred to as ep49 because some of the original DvD box sets were labeled/coded incorrectly and the movie was listed as ep49. But you are right read the manga the anime series never finished to my knowledge.
