Smallville is ending because...
My guess is that the stars are just tired of it. Tom Welling has a wife and a kid, so he probably wants to focus on his family. They are all old now, Tom Welling is 33, Allison Mack is only 20, but I'm sure she wants to get on with her life. She probably wants to go back to Germany (Allison was born in Germany) and begin her life there. If not, she just probably is sick of this show. Kristen Kreuk is 28 years old.

No not yet, April 2nd there is a new episode I think Smallville will end 2011 maybe because the producers annouced there is a season 10 of Smallville...yeah there will be more episodes in 2010

Yes, at the end of Smallville (season 10) he FINALLY gets to put the costume on (that his mother made him but Jor-El thought he wasn't ready and hid it in the fortress) and saves the world from Brianiac in which Smallville then ends.
