On April 13, 2010, Marvel announced that a new series based on the Ultimate Ultimate_Spider-Manstoryline will be aired on Disney XD in Fall 2011. On April 14, 2010, Tom Tom_Brevoortof Marvel Comics confirmed that The Spectacular Spider-Manhas ended and will give way to the new series. The same day, Greg Weisman told IGN: "I've heard nothing directly from Marvel, but I think the Ultimate Spider-Man announcement makes it fairly clear that Spectacular is over." Marvel Animation and Sony also commented on this to Marvel Animation Age, confirming that the series has ceased production.

It all depends if Peter Parker aka Spiderman decides to start helping people again. In my understanding their should be a season two and more because season was too good to go one for so long then end. I mean seriously. The first episode of season 2 should start with peter and Mj being happily in love and liveing their college life together. Then their is a disturbance and peter decides to become spiderman again. Peter finally realizes that his duty is to protect manhattan from the evil within. And you can put in all kinds of enemies in their two. so thats why there should be a season two because there is so much more to offer with that show and its a teenage drama as well as spiderman type show so in my case the show should go on!
