Personally I think Gerard Butler did a pretty good job in the 2004 movie, however on stage Michael Crawford was brilliant in the original cast of Phantom, But also Ramin Karimloo who currently is playing Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webbers sequel Love Never Dies, played Phantom in the West End's production of Phantom of the Opera and cameo'd Christine's father in the 2004 movie Phantom of the Opera. He gives an breathtaking performance of Phantom in both Phantom and Love Never Dies and has a truly amazing voice.
Yes in Gaston Leroux's Phantom of the Opera, he dies of a broken heart. Christine's kiss was too much for him, he never been kiss before. He decided to set her free, Raoul free, told her she can marry Raoul or anyone if she likes. Andrew Lloyd Webber's Musical Phantom of the Opera-No, the Phantom disappears. Lon Chaney's 1925 Phantom of the Opera, he is killed by the mob. Claude Rain's 1943 Phantom of the Opera, the cave's rocks falls on him. Other movies of the Phantom of the Opera will have their own ending to the Phantom.
Kevin McNally was in the 2004 film "The Phantom of the Opera" playing the role of Joseph Buquet. He was also in all three of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films in 2003, 2006 and 2007 as Joshamee Gibbs.
I think Disney music is usually classical or opera sort of. But Disney Radio is much different.
'Box Five' is the box that no one was allowed to use because it was the box that the phantom of the opera would watch the opera's from.

Phantom the movie is set in the Paris Opera Garnier. But you could just say any opera house. It doesn't really matter I don't think.

They did cut out the song no one would listen which is Minnie Drivers song (learn to be lonely) but just changed the words.
The Opera involved is that of Paris, France. The time frame is the late 1800s, early 1900s.
