The Olympians are children of Kronos, the Titan Lord of time.
he only made the olympians
Basically, Zeus and his siblings(Hades, Poseidon, Hera) were the children of the Titan Kronos, the lord of time. Kronos ate his children(the Olympians) but Zeus's mother hid him, so Zeus was spared. But he came back for his siblings he fed his father a mixture of wine (and something else..I can't remember) and Kronos vomited up the Olympians. Then, the Olympians took Kronos's scythe, chopped him into bots, then scattered the pieces in the deepest pits of Tartarus in the Underworld.
the titans as Kronos are older than the Olympians. so they are pretty much the older versions of the Olympians.
the 6 sons and daughters of Kronos and Rhea were the original Olympians. Kronos ate his children because he was afraid they would overthrow him and take power. Rhea tricked Kronos into eating a rock instead of baby Zeus. Zeus grew up and made Kronos throw up his brothers and sisters, who had been growing in his stomach because they were immortal. They then defeated him and then the rest of the Olympians like Apollo were born.
Kronos was the son of Ouranos and Gaea and the leader of the Titans. He sired the next generation of gods, the Olympians. He was the personification of the Heavens.
Since he was Kronos' host he had to sacrifice himself
Percy defeats Kronos (A.K.A. Luke) and the Olympians won the battle!!
That's basically the same Kronus (or Kronos) that appears in ancient Greek mythology - the boss of the Titans, and father of several of the Greek gods.
He is not a god. He is a Titan. He is important because he chopped his father, Ouranos, to pieces. He ate all of his children so they couldn't take over, but Rhea, his wife, put Zeus in a cave so Kronos couldn't eat him. Zeus chopped Kronos to pieces and lobbed him in the pit of Tartarus. Zeus started the reign of the greek gods (Olympians).

Kronos wants revenge on the Olympians for beating the Titans in the war thousands of years ago.
