Not ALL juvenile delinquents need to be jailed. It depends on the juveniles previous record. If they have a history of being delinquent then the judge will not JAIL them but they will send the juvenile to the proper placement. This could be a group home or rehabilitation facility. The difference between juveniles and adults is that adults are considered the need to be punished for their crime.Whereas a juvenile needs rehabilitation. If it is your first offense, the judge may give you a second chance or a more leniant program.Such as group therapy or juvenile prebation.Just know that this is to hopefully rehabilitate the juvenile so he/she could be more productive in their community and to prevent any future incidents with the juvenile.
