Where does Scarface take place?

There have been many arguments stating where his mansion was located at. people say it was in santa barbara(mendocino), California. Others will say it it is star island, Florida. I will verify both of those houses. We'll start with the Star Island house. every tourist who goes on the boat tours in miami will see this house and the tour guide says that this is the "scarface house." This house was in Scarface, but this isnt the house everyone is familiar with. The Star Island house is the house where Tony Montana began his rise in the cocaine world. this is the house where he saw his soon to be wife riding down the glass elevator. this is also where he arranged his first deal with the boss man however, this is not THE scarface mansion. The Scarface mansion that he actually lived and died in was the one in Mendocino county (Santa Barbara) California.
