Several years before he died, J. M. Barrie gave the copyright to Peter and Wendy to Great Ormond Street Hospital, a children's hospital in London. Until the copyright expired, they received royalties for every book published. They still collect a special royalty in the UK.

What is the difference between the novels Peter Pan and Peter and Wendy?

Peter Pan was originally a play, so the biggest difference between that and Peter and Wendy is that the former is a play and the latter is a novel. :) The novel was published 7 years after the play, so there are some revisions to the story, things added, some left out, and some just told differently. The novel P&W was later published under the titles Peter Pan and Wendy and just plain Peter Pan. These are the same novel as P&W.
