He lives in Auschwitz as his father is promoted to Commandant after the visit from The Fury
i think you ment wear, and yes they wore striped pyjamas
Shmuel had lived somewhere in Poland but was forced into 'Out-with' which is known as Auschwitz, a death camp from WWII
Well, in the book a boy named Bruno lives in Berlin and is the son of a high standing SS soldier. The Feurer (Hitler) or Fury as the little boy calls him comes to visit and has dinner with his parents and this is when it is decided that the family will move to Poland to live outside the Death Camp of Auschwitz, the boy can't quite pronounce it right and calls it Out-With. The boy notices out his window all the little huts and the people in "stripped pajamas". Later on his sister tells him that they are Jews. The boy becomes terribly bored and starts to walk near the wall of the camp. He comes to a spot and sits down and he begins to see someone walking towards him. This is how he meets the boy in stripped pajamas, or shmuel. They meet almost everyday except for when it rains. They sit and talk the whole time they visit and Bruno wishes they could play. After about a year of living at Auschwitz Bruno and his sister get lice and Bruno's head is shaved. Bruno comes to notice how alike him and Shmuel look now that both of their heads are shaved, but Shmuel tells him that he can't find his father and the boys devise a plan. Bruno will come the next day and sneak under the fence and help Shmuel find his father, Shmuel will bring him stripped clothes to wear. While in the camp the two boys come upon a march and a selection. They are selected and I infer that they were taken to a gas chamber. Bruno's father begins to worry and when all hope is lost he walks the line of the fence and finds that the fence is lose in one place, where a small boy could crawl under. He also finds Bruno's clothes that he left when he changed into his stripped pajamas.
**SPOILER**Yes. When serving wine at a dinner table and spills it, Kurt Kotler beats him then kills him with a bullet.Following from Brookiemonster: (correct answer!!)Actually, in the book Pavel doesn't die but he isn't mentioned again - the reader is not even told what happens. Instead the reader is forced to make conclusions based on the fact that, due to our prior knowledge, we know that he beats him up and since he is not mentioned again we PRESUME that he is dead - we don't actually know!
There are various differences between the book and the film. The main difference being of the perspective. In the book although it is written in 3rd person, the book is seen entirely through Bruno's eyes. This means everything that we know is interpreted through Bruno. In the film we see for ourselves what is happening and don't need to interpret Bruno's view. Another major difference is the character of Bruno's mother. In the book she is quite subjective and we hear of moments in which she wants to move back to Berlin. In the film she is far more emotional and sympathetic in terms of what is happening to the Jews, allowing the audience to have a character which reflects their own disgust at the situation. Bruno's father is seen more as a family figure in the film whereas the book portrays him to be a stern man whose live revolves around his job. In terms of plot the ending differs in the film. Without giving too much away, the book has an epilogue which explains how Bruno's family comes to terms with Bruno whereas the film has a dramatic climax in which the family are involved with. There are also subtle differences such as the boys ages- in the book they are 9 and in the film they are 8. There appears to be no reason for this. There is a also a chapter in the book in which Hitler visits the house however this is not included in the film version.

No, Bruno flies solo.
Anne Frank and Bruno from "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" both live during World War II and experience the impacts of the Holocaust. However, Anne Frank's story is based on a real person who kept a diary while hiding from the Nazis, while Bruno is a fictional character who befriends a Jewish boy in a concentration camp. Both characters provide different perspectives on the horrors of the Holocaust.
