Yes, there is a landmark in Kansas for the character of Dorothy from "The Wizard of Oz."

Specifically, the landmark is located in East Cedar, Liberal, Kansas. It is called Dorothy's House. It is a replica of the Gale family farmhouse in the beloved 1939 film version of "The Wizard of Oz."

From nowhere in Kansas in the book but from west Kansas in the film is where in Kansas the Wizard originally is from "The Wizard of Oz."

Specifically, in the original 1900 book edition the Wizard admits to being originally from Nebraska, Kansas' northern neighbor. In contrast, in the beloved 1939 film version, he claims to be from the wilderness that still is found in western Kansas. In both the book and the film, Dorothy Gale comes from an unspecified area within the Kansas plains.
