Walley World is a fictional location in the movie "Vacation" (1983). It doesn't exist anywhere except in the writers' imaginations.
However, they had to FILM it somewhere, and despite the obvious parallels to Disneyland (the keystone character is "Marty Moose" instead of "Mickey Mouse", was featured on an old TV show with a singalong theme song where the character's name was spelled out, and the creator of the character, show, and park was a thin mustached man named "Roy Walley" instead of "Walt Disney" ... to top it off Walt had a brother named Roy Disney who was also a key figure in Disneyland history) that "somewhere" was Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California (about 30 miles north of Hollywood).
For the 2015 version, the Griswolds make a return visit to "Walley World", but this time they shot it at Six Flags over Georgia (near Atlanta) instead.
His Name Was Marty Moose, the official Mascot of Walley World.

In the movie "National Lampoon's Vacation," the Griswold family travels to Walley World, a fictional amusement park. While Walley World is not a real location, the scenes were filmed at several locations, including Magic Mountain in California, which served as a stand-in for the park. The film humorously depicts the family's misadventures on their road trip to reach the park.
