when titanic herd that there was an ice brug in front of them they increesd there speed beauce they wanted to get to new york in the quicest time ever then 30 minites later they struk an ice burg. when they hit the ice burg the captin had a metting with the disiner of the titanic.

∙ 6y agoDays before Titanic sunk, she had an incident in Southampton when, due to the suction from her mass, she had a close call with a run-in with a smaller vessel, the New York. The New York was drawn to her, even snapping her mooring lines, but Titanic steered clear.

∙ 14y agoThe Titanic was going full steam ahead (as fast as it could go) before she (Titanic) collided with the ice berg. Many believe this to be the cause of the collision. Had she gone slower, whoever was steering her would have had more time to react. Furthermore, other ships had warned the Titanic of the numerous ice bergs in the part of the Atlantic Ocean she was going through, but the Titanic sped on regardless. An unwise decision as we all know, especially as it was at night, limiting visibility.
