it def takes place somewhere on the west coast cuz there's a scene where Elliot is apparently pointing to California on their location on the globe. plus i saw it written that on two web sites saying it takes place in LA....im from nyc but i spose theres rural sections of LA...i know its geographically way bigger than NYC
