France contains the 'over seas department' of French Guiana. The territory is considered part of France and uses Euros as its currency, it contains a launch site used by the European Space Agency. As part of France it sends representatives to the French assembly and Senate.
Not sure you would say Britain controls it, but Guyana is on the mainland of S America and until independence in 1966 was controlled by the UK. It is now a member of the Commonwealth and although on the mainland, is considered part of the Carribean West Indies due to the strong cultural ties.
