It is my understanding that the "Five Cities" on the Central Coast of California are the clustered cities of Arroyo Grande, Oceano, Grover Beach, Pismo Beach, and Shell Beach. One reference is the "Transportation" page on the San Luis Senior website: http://sanluissenior.com/Transportation.html While these cities may be considered the modern 'Five Cities', the original ones were: Arroyo Grande, Halcyon, Fair Oaks, Grover Beach, and Oceano.
