Edgar Rice Burroughs is the creator of Tarzan. the first Tarzan novel came out in l9l2, so next year is the Tarzan centennial as well as that of the Titanic. Burroughs did not write all of the Tarzan novels, other writers were involved. One of them, Tarzan and the Princess, involves a Girl who is a surviving noblewoman of White Russian background- what a combo- Tarzan and Anastasia! This was Never made into a movie.

In the book, Tarzan of the Apes, Paul D'Arnot taught Tarzan French. During the boat ride to America, Tarzan gleaned a sufficient amount of English from other passengers ... I think.

Disney's Tarzan is based on Edgar Rice Burroughs' first Tarzan story, Tarzan of the Apes. The film focuses on Tarzan's origin and life, and the idea of love reaching deeper than bloodlines. Disney's Tarzan II focuses on young Tarzan's struggle to find his identity. Along his journey, he meets other apes, in particular a male named Zugor, and makes friends.

One had been planned back in the 1990's called "Superman Lives" which was to be directed by Tim Burton and star Nicolas Cage- but the film never got made and the idea was eventually scrapped leading to other ideas that also never got made into films until Bryan Singer finally was hired to direct his story- "Superman Returns" (first Superman movie to be seen in theaters in almost 20 years). There was an animated film called "Superman/Doomsday" released in 2007 about the death and return of Superman. It is probably best to leave it at animation and not do it as live-action with actual actors.
