Which is the best scene in Forrest gump?

The movie has so much going for it that it is hard to pick one thing. The acting performances are exceptional, the soundtrack is loaded and complements the original score by Alan Silvestri. The cinematography and editing pull a very complicated storyline into a cohesive, clear story and the writing is clean. One of the best lines in the movie is when Bubba asks Forrest if he's every seen a real shrimp boat and Forrest replies, "No, but I've seen a real big boat."

With such an excellent film as Forrest Gump, it is difficult to pick a 'best scene' when you consider the script, the story and the actors' performances. One highly charged scene is when Forrest and his army troop are ambushed by the Vietcong. It is a scene of chaos in which Forrest rescues five men from the jungle, including his commander, the reluctant-to-be-rescued Lt. Dan, and his best friend, Bubba, before the bombers arrive to sweep the area. Bubba succumbs to his injuries, dying in Forrest's arms just as the choppers are approaching to rescue them. The tension is palatable and the special effects are seamless, combined with Hanks' Oscar winning performance, makes this one of the best scenes in the film.
