Actually, native Americans lived in North America. The Amerindians of the West Indies were a tribe of nomadic people who wandered across the Bering Strait hundreds of years ago in pursuit of animal herds. they traveled across the north american continent to settle in Central America, South America and the West Indies. the descendants of the nomadic hunters settled in those regions and developed diverse traditions, functions and lifestyles. In the West Indies, the Amerindians people are known as Tainos, Caribs, Mayans, Aztecs, Arawaks, Kalinagoes. not all the groups mentioned were settled in the West Indies.
