Well it was the 1st Infantry and 29th Infantry Divisions. I am out sure of the individual regiments at the time.

African-Americans joined many Union regiments at the beginning of the war. In 1863, a large number of African American regiments were formed using primarily escaped slaves as foot soldiers. Most of their officers were white, because few blacks had the required education at that time.

The first Battle of the Marne began on September 6, 1914, and ended on September 12, 1914. During the First Battle of the Marne, 250,000 French soldiers were lost and the Germans suffered about the same casualties. The BEF lost just under 13,000 men.
