No. Some believe that the sudden increase in vampire popularity can be creditted to the popularity following Stephenie Meyer's novels, but the two are not related in anyway. :)
True Blood was written and published earlier than Twilight. Twilight was first published in 2005 while True Blood was first published in 2001.
True Blood was written first and became a show on HBO, but didn't become very popular until Vampires became the new thing, thanks to the Twilight Saga
Its already available for pre-order on iTunes, but it won't be released until the same date as the dvd, March 21.
The first season of True Blood is pretty similar to the first book in the Sookie Stackhouse series but the other seasons do not closely follow the books and therefore do not have any corresponding books.
Season 1 of HBO's True Blood is based only on the first Sookie Stackhouse novel titled, "Dead Until Dark."
no , this is not true ;)
well personally i don't think she did but if she did it was probably cos the vampire diaries are so cool, but loads of book go on the whole vampire romance thing
No they are not, True Blood is a much more adult programme with a lot less tweenage romance. Also, saying Twilight is better than Dracula is sacrilege, Dracula is classic literature, Twilight is not.
no Marked is tho... check it out. I am a huge fan of twilight books and movies, but it seems that true blood is directed toward a more mature audience ex:older characters and nudity.I like it better because i can relate to the characters.
I WISH!! no, but theres a tv show that started because of twilight called true blood but its really bad and kids cant watch it
There has been the Twilight movies, Vampire Diaries, and Vampire Academy as well as True Blood.
Because they ROCK our socks off!!!!!^^^^^^eh no twilight saga does not rock. you should read other books that are waaaaaaaaaaaay better like vampire diaries, house of night, true blood, evernight, blue blood [i think it was that] and vampire academy. they make twilight look like a normal kiddie book
Great question! Eric is 1000+ years old, as apposed to Edward who was born in 1901. But they do have different rules; vampires in Twilight are said to be at their MOST powerful when they are 'new borns', but in True Blood the older they are the stronger and more gifted they become (although, that is also true in Twilight as well.) Not to mention the fact that the twilight book series is much 'softer', one could say, than True Blood, in general. But, it's all just a guess.
Suki Stackhouse "True Blood" series I say vampire Accademy. It is romantic!
She states that she had a dream about a sparkly man and woman in a meadow. Then she wrote the book from that point after which she started the first half! She probably got many of her ideas for Twilight from the True Blood book series as well as other vampire and romance books. There are far too many similarities to have just been a mere coincidence. Besides, True Blood wasn't so popular, so it was not a huge deal to have got some ideas from a series most people knew nothing about!
Yes, it is by Stephanie Myers. It is NOT in the Twilight Saga though. It should be. It is twilight (the first book) from Edward's point of view. I HATE JACOB BLACK !
I dont know seeing as I am a kid, but try True Blood... people say they're really good
In the mythical world of vampires, this seems to be the case in the Twilight series and the TV series, True Blood.
True Blood, My babysitter's a vampire, and Twilight. Thats All I know...
