Because you can't handle it?
The one your boyfriend will be afraid of is movies like Dora and Barney.But seriously any scary movie that you think IS VERY VERY scary will be scary enough for him. And if the movie is scary than its good (it will give him a reason to put his arm around you).
Horror = paranormal 1 & 2 ... suspense but not that scary!
That completely depends on what you are interested in watching. If you like dramas, I recommend Pretty Little Liars but if you scary movies, you might want to watch one of those instead.
It is okay for a woman who is 5 months pregnant to watch movies in a movie theater. It is best to watch movies that are normal for the woman to view. For example, if the woman does not normally watch horror movies and sees a horror movie, she may become tense. Being pregnant does not stop a woman from enjoying normal activity. Any restrictions or concerns should be talked about with a healthcare professional.

It might mean that he likes it when they scare you because then he can comfort you. Unless you actually like scary movies
My favorite 'scary movie' is Zombieland. This movie is more of a comedy than a horror movie.

watch a lot of them and become desensitized.
Watch the 'The Exorcist' first, then work your way around to other types of horror movies.
As long as the child understands that it is only a movie, and not real. Then no, I do not think they are a bad influence to kids. I grew up watching horror movies, and now they are one of my passions. I am a horror artist.
