Neil Armstrong followed minutes later by Buzz Aldrin were the first to walk on the surface of the moon, which they did in July, 1969. Since then, approximately 10 others, all from the U.S. have done so.

To be more grammatically correct, your question should read: "Has anyone ever gone to the moon?"

My answer did not include those astronauts and cosmonauts who journeyed to the moon, or orbited it, without physically walking on the surface.

During the NASA Apollo program, a total of 9 flights were made to the Moon from December 1968 to December, 1972. Six of these flights landed men on the Moon, beginning with Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin on July 20, 1969.

There are 12 men who walked on the Moon, and there are 12 more who orbited the Moon but never walked on the surface. Three men went to the Moon twice. Apollo missions 8, 10, and 13 did not land anyone, and on the other six flights, a single astronaut orbited in the command module while two flew the lunar lander down.

Yes, they did. If you can see with a powerfull enough tellescope, you can see Buzz Aldirin's Boots on the moon and some footprints. Also the Moon buggy and retro Reflectors. Also tommy's mom has been on the moon.
