The bad guy in Beauty and the Beast was Gaston.gaston was not a bad guy if you look at the characters for gaston and the beast they are very similar both are wealthy not very inteligent self centered men who are use to getting their own way and who at somepoint have looked at women as objects. the only difference between the two is that beast was turned from the handsom prince to the beast , and that belle wasn't locked away with gaston and forced to get to know him ,if the Circumstances had been different then for all we know belle could have ended up with gaston and not beast . the only reason that gaston is betrayed as "the bad guy" is because he is the one regected by bell in the end.
