Contrary to what most game show fans might think, it was in fact Bob Stewart, not Mark Goodson, who created The Price is Right back in the 1950s.

At the time, Stewart was a staff member for the Goodson-Todman production team and not only served as a producer, but also created two other Goodson-Todman games; To Tell The Truth and Password. Stewart later left the Goodson-Todman organization to venture out into creating and producing his own games, such as Eye Guess, The $10,000 Pyramid, Jackpot!, Chain Reaction and a slew of others.
