Darth Vader
In Star Wars, yes. But in real life, no
It was to symbolize the fact that if he was not careful, he would become just like Vader. If he would give into his anger, he would become a dark Jedi.
Luke looses his hand in The Empire Strikes Back- The 5th (2nd movie made) in the series of the movies.
Yes, but not only once. In "Revenge of the Sith," Obi-Wan defeated the duel against Vader by cutting off both of his legs and his left arm. And in "Return of the Jedi," Vader got his right hand cut off because Luke Skywalker was giving into anger and he was dueling Vader within his rage. When Vader was originally Anakin Skywalker in "Attack of the Clones," Anakin lost his right arm during a duel with Count Dooku on Geonosis.
Luke is resisting giving in to the Dark Side, so Darth Vader is fighting Luke with his light saber, and cuts off Luke's hand to show him his power, and to even further persuade him in joining him (Darth Vader) on the Dark Side. This act of cutting someone's hand off is called Cho Mai according to Jedi records. This is considered merciful by most Sith Lords who prefer killing their opponent.

Depends on how you look at it. Luke did cut off Vader's prosthetic hand and then realized he was doing wrong and he was going down the dark road when he saw his own prosthetic hand. Then of course, the Emperor took advantage of Luke refusing to give in to the dark side.
Luke Skywalker
No. He cut off his ear.
yes it can
Cut their hand OFF!
A lot of people cut off the gorilla's hand when it is dead. Because the gorilla has no use for it anymore. Then the person gets the amount of money that they want. The person who buys the monkeys hand is as cruel as the person who cut it off. I personally would never cut off the hand of a gorilla even if it was alive or dead.
