The character Jane Margolis of the television show Breaking Bad is played by actress Krysten Ritter. Jane was Jesse Pinkman's landlady and later girlfriend. She worked as a tattoo artist, and was also a recovering drug addict. Jane later dies in her sleep after choking to death on her own vomit.

Jane dies at the end of episode 12 in season two, when Walter lets her asphyxiate on her own vomit. It is her death that leads her father, an air traffic controller, to cause the mid-air crash that rains debris down over Albuquerque in the season finale.
