Who is Kushina?

Kushina Uzumaki is Naruto's mother. It is said by Tsunade that most of Naruto's personality as well as his choice of jutsus are similar to that of his mother. She comes from the former Land of Whirlpool. She has long red hair and is said to have been a tomboyish girl. But had grown into a very beautiful woman later on. However, since she is referred by past tense, it is believe she is deceased. She is also the lover of Minato Namikaze.

She is also known as the previous nine-tails jinchuuriki(tailed-beast host) prior to naruto and had a demon nickname as Red Habanero.

The union between Minato (Yellow Flash) and Kushina(Red Habanero) made Naruto believe that he can be the "Leaf's Orange Hokage".

Furthermore Kushina's chakra was included with Minato's four element seal to contain the Kyuubi and was programmed to be released if Naruto decides to control the Kyuubi. In the recent manga chapter, right after Kushina helped Naruto conquer his dark side, the Kyuubi wailed "The sage of the six paths" it seems Minato or Kushina's chakra has been the key to the legendary ninja.

I believe that madara pushed kushia over the edge and got her to transform into the nine tailed fox and then she lost control. Marada then took control of her and sent her to attack the leaf. then the 4th sealed the fox into Naruto where kushina is in the fox aswell so in the end Naruto has 4 different chakras in him.

sasukelover21- this is correct. they fell in love when minato saved kushina from being kidnapped. the seal is the weakest during pregnency. madara knew his so this is how he used it to his advantage. long story. and i mean long.

Kushina and Minato were married properly, Naruto bears her name to hide his origins as Minato's son. Also, Kushina came to the Konoha to become a kunoichi.
