Radu cel Frumos (= the handsome) was the brother of Vlad III. He was in slavery with his brother and eventually became the slave/lover of Vlads enemy, Sultan Mehmet II from the Ottoman Empire. He died a slow and painful death after contracting what is described as a sexually transmitted disease.

There has been more then one answer to this question because there are many stories about Vlad and his brother, but the one i have heard the most from my grandfather who infact lives in Romania is that Radu and Vlad were fighting over the roomers that had been going around that Radu was going to get the thrown and get rid of Vlad, which drove Vlad to throw his brother out of the Royal line to the thrown all together, then Radu was murdered that night Vlad had thrown him out, which Drove Vlad into an anger most vilent, and he lived most of the remainder of his life in depression. that might be more of an answer you were looking for (sorry)
