It was Bruce Ismay and Captian Edward Smith
Like most disasters, there is no one person to blame. White Star Line's management encouraged the attitude that, with its watertight compartments, the ship could not sink. The ship was traveling too fast for conditions, so to speak, in hopes of setting a new speed record for the trip. And there's some evidence that the officer in charge directed the helmsman to steer the wrong direction - into the iceberg - after the collision occurred.
i think it was Thomas Andrew's fault because he did not make sure that the water tight compartments were not the apporite height
In my opinion, it was J. Bruce Ismay. I read somewhere that he urged Captain Smith to break record speeds, even though he knew it was an icefield. I'm not sure about anyone else, but back then the world blamed it on him.
no one
