It was Bruce Ismay and Captian Edward Smith
Like most disasters, there is no one person to blame. White Star Line's management encouraged the attitude that, with its watertight compartments, the ship could not sink. The ship was traveling too fast for conditions, so to speak, in hopes of setting a new speed record for the trip. And there's some evidence that the officer in charge directed the helmsman to steer the wrong direction - into the iceberg - after the collision occurred.
i think it was Thomas Andrew's fault because he did not make sure that the water tight compartments were not the apporite height
In my opinion, it was J. Bruce Ismay. I read somewhere that he urged Captain Smith to break record speeds, even though he knew it was an icefield. I'm not sure about anyone else, but back then the world blamed it on him.
no one

Actually lots of people all together made the titanic sink including the ship builders, captin smith and Bruce Ismay.

There are a lot of ways to look at this. You could blame captain Smith because he ordered that the ship continued full speed ahead. You could also blame the people working in the messenger room where they received many warnings of ice, but the person that was supposed to be running the station and monitoring it was reported sleeping instead. The blame on the people that built the ship is still being looked at. It is said that there was a flaw in the expansion joint, but that has more to do with the sinking of the ship. The build of the Titanic was amazing for the era, but the rivets holding the sheets of metal together were really strong, but supposedly not strong enough. So overall, the blame can be aimed towards one person, everyone, or no one.

Well, it was really Chairman of the White Star Line and the Captain of the Titanic. Bruce Ismay wanted the Titanic to sail faster for business. And it was Captain Ed John Smith's fault, because he left the Titanic unattended while she was still sailing.

The Captain as it is always his responsibility if any of his naval ships is in danger
Many factors contributed to the sinking of the Titanic, but the captain made the ultimate choice to speed up with reports of icebergs in their path.
The Captain - for unwisely maintaining top speed.

One of the radio operators - for cutting-off another operator trying to warn of icebergs.

The lookout - for entering the crow's nest without his binoculars (the newest and most powerful).
LOADS of people are At Fault and there are loads of queries to it aswell.

Frederick fleet was the lookout and had his binoculors locked away and the safe they put them in could never be opened again but if he had them he would have seen the on coming ice-berg and rand the bell earlier.

the captain also made a big mistake by ignoring ice-berg warnings and forcing the boat at top speed.bo

the designers were also at fault as they did not put on enough life boats on the Titanic

as on the sister ship the First class passangers there were compaining of how the life boats were taking up too much room so they did not put as much on the Titanic.

the ice-berg is kinda at fault aswell because it ripped out 5 compartments of the boat but if it ripped out 4 it would have stayed afloat!

Binoculars left behind and a faulty captainFrom research it's been gathered that on the Titanic's maiden voyage the binoculars were left behind, so with the binoculars the crew could have seen the iceberg sooner.

Also Captain Smith is believed to have been at fault too, as he ordered more and more speed because he wanted to make the headlines famously, which he did but in the wrong way...the headlines were, 'Titanic sinks'....

Always the captainWhen a Naval vessel is hazarded or lost it is the Captain's responsibility. The same is true of a Merchant vessel. A Board of Inquiry can easily absolve the Captain, it often requires generations to make such an announcement. Rule One of Command is I am responsible. Rule Two: states that only God in his infinite wisdom can modify rule One, and must personally appear and be sworn in by the head of the Board of Inquiry. (This is often shortened to read: I Commanded. I was responsible.) J. Bruce IsmayEveryone claims that it is the captain's fault. But it is actually the fault of a man by the name of J. Bruce Ismay. When the ship sank, it was because of a flaw in the part of the ship that was under Ismay's responsibility. That was why the ship snapped in half. If it had stayed in one piece, it would have floated for another 3 hours and help could have arrived. Also, regarding the binoculars, they didn't leave them on shore. They were using them. But it was 11:00 at night, so I doubt they could really see anything. It was too dark, and Ismay was the one who wanted to beat the Cunard Line which had a ship out at the same time on its way to New York also. He was pressuring the Captain to go faster, and Ismay is responsible for killing over 1500 people.

Answer

While excess speed was the overriding factor in the Titanic's demise (which was ultimately the Captain's fault) a major factor in why the iceberg did so much damage was the brittleness of her steel (determined when samples were brought up from the wreck). As for the ship breaking in two, any number of ships have broken in two while sinking (there is a lot of stess on the keel and hull) and in many cases, one half has remained afloat. In the Titanic's case, her "back was broken" and she fell into two halves after sinking, so there was no chance of the aft section remaining afloat, particularly as the "watertight" bulkheads weren't exactly that by modern standards- they were in effect high walls, which, as each forrard section filled allowed water to overtop the next section, and so on.
It was mostly the captain's fault for ingoring the iceberg warning from other ships around the area. He relied too much on 'unskinable' Titanic. He laughed at the warnings;he was also speeding. Boasting that he could get the ship to arrived Tuesday night instead of Wednesday afternoon. though people might blame the captain for titanic to sink he didn't get all the iceberg warnings.
There are many different opinions about this, but most people say the iceberg that hit the Titanic.

Many people believe it was man's pride that cursed it.
The captain, because he was driving too fast. The person the blame was Jack Phillips 'cuz he didn't report the iceberg warnings to Captain Smith.

Nobody is to blame for the sinking of Titanic, since she was following protocol at the time, but the conclusion of the British Inquiry was to do some mild scapegoating of the Captain Smith, the dead guy.

Captain Edward John Smith was mildly scapegoated at the British Inquiry after the sinking of Titanic but it was a matter of convenience to shift some blame to the dead guy.
